FAQs:
How to become a patient: If you are interested in becoming a patient, kindly fill out the form linked at the page titled “Make an appointment.” After reviewing your information, if I think I am a good fit for your clinical needs, I will reach out to set up a brief 10 minute phone call to discuss scheduling and answer any questions you may have.
Location: I see patients both in person at my office in Menlo Park and via telehealth. I recommend all children be seen in person, particularly at the start of treatment. Any adult who is interested in an ADHD evaluation must be seen in person at least once. All patients must be located in the state of California.
Controlled substances: In general, I do not prescribe benzodiazepines such as Xanax, Klonopin, Valium. I only prescribe stimulant medications to patients who meet criteria for ADHD and are able to be seen in person.
Disability evaluations: I do not provide evaluations or complete paperwork for disability claims. My focus is on delivering comprehensive psychiatric care, including diagnosis and treatment, but I do not offer services related to disability determination or legal evaluations. If you need assistance in this area, I recommend contacting a specialist or provider who is experienced in completing such assessments.
Insurance and rates: I am not in network with any insurance providers. This allows me to dedicate more time to each patient, providing longer, more in-depth sessions and creating personalized treatment plans without being limited by insurance constraints. I strive to offer the most comprehensive care possible and to address your unique needs with flexibility. While this may mean paying out-of-pocket, I believe this approach leads to better outcomes and a more fulfilling therapeutic experience. Rates will be discussed prior to our initial phone call.
I provide super bills that you can submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. If your insurance company is unable to provide you with a psychiatrist in their network, you may also be able to request a network gap exception. Every insurance company has a different process for requesting an exception, so I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider for more details.
Due to Medicare rules and regulations, I am unable to see patients with Medicare insurance plans.
